RE: [fw1-gurus] Connect to Management Server very slow

Hi Nguyen,

Are you connecting to SmartCenter from your desktop/laptop? If so, are they
on the same subnet? If not, what is the link speed between your
desktop/laptop and SmartCenter and how many hops?

If you use the GUI clients that are installed on the SmartCenter server
itself, how is the speed?

Can we rule out a name resolution issue? Do you have a DNS entry for the
SmartCenter server and is it entered in a HOSTS file on each gateway?

How does the routing look from the SmartCenter server to each gateway's
EXTERNAL interface? How many hops when trace route is used from the
SmartCenter server itself and what kind of delays?

Ray
