Re: [fw1-gurus] CP Management High Availability

You cannot configure HA on different hardware and software platforms, You can upgrade your primary station to SPLAT, then setup your secondary and you can configure HA in that manner. An alternative is to setup a new box as the primary and migrate your services to the new box, once competed you can install the secondary management and configure HA on both.

Subject: [fw1-gurus] CP Management High Availability

NG AI R55, HFA 20
I have had a single management station for our firewalls for some time and I am now trying to set up a second for HA.
The primary management station is a SUN box (at this stage, I want to replace this eventually but need to get a secondary going first) and have installed and secondary with SPLAT, same version and HFA. I have defined it in the original management station, SIC and all, and all seems fine, however when I try to select "Policy - Management High Availability" in order to tell it to sync, the "Management High Availability" is greyed out.
Could someone please point me in the right direction for whatever it is I am missing, I have been looking for some doco on setting it up but as yet the only thing I have found seems to indicate I have done what is necessary.

Regards,
Chris G
