[fw1-wizards] Firewall full configuration backup - thoughts and suggestions

All,

We have a FW backup here which includes all systems.

To give you an idea :

Firewall, DMZ (Mail relay, FTP server), CVP Anti-Virus server

At the moment, The FW is backed up by proprietry software written for us by
our FW support company.

The FTP, Email, and CVP servers are backed up by Ghosting the disks and
rotating, which of course is not the best way to go about it, and also
causes problems sometimes even tho the hardware on both ends is exactly the
same.

My question here is, how do others go about this if at all ?

Do you backup/double only the FireWall, or do you also go as far as to
duplicate all attached systems ?

If you duplicate all systems, how do you ensure data is kept current on each
and every one of them ?

Is there any reason to back them all up at all (The worst case being of
course that one whole site goes down).

I'd appreciate thoughts on this.

Thanks,

Mike Glassman
